Fire doors

Is a very  serious  problem the noises from the British doors. They call the doors "fire doors". Is something very stupid because the same doors could have a mechanic arm but working slowly. However must of it is working abruptly to make very loud and disturbing noises. Even in banks or libraries we can listen the same kind of noises. When people live in share the "fire doors" become weapons against unfriend housemates. In some houses is nothing but hell. And the landlords says is okay, should be like that. Poor mentality, poor people.
